<br />
Well, I posted the March paper pumpkin video on my Facebook page and now it's time to give you a few ideas on what else you can do with this month's paper pumpkin.<br />
<br />
<br />
<table style="width: 100%;">

<tr>
<td><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<tr>
<td>This little card measures 3 x 3. It's made according to package directions. This kit will make 9 - 3 x 3 cards. It's a sweet little card, but there is more that we can do!</td>
<td>This little bunny is another item you can make using the March PP kit. You can fill the little bunny with candy or stuffing for decorations. This kit contains 9 little bags.
</td>
</tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-I2ChVCgq0iI/WNsUptmqiqI/AAAAAAAADkA/PIHtb6cwMKUCpS6ak5Ym_N0uKD5iFHyNQCLcB/s1600/Mar17_pp_alt1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-I2ChVCgq0iI/WNsUptmqiqI/AAAAAAAADkA/PIHtb6cwMKUCpS6ak5Ym_N0uKD5iFHyNQCLcB/s320/Mar17_pp_alt1.JPG" title="Mar17_pp_alt1.JPG" width="275" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
This card is standard size, 5 and a half by 4 and a quarter. I cut apart some of the patterned paper, and backed the bunny face with the matching dark blue. The design came from a sketch.<br />
<br />
Sketches are a great way to help you decide on a layout of a card. All you do is stick the pieces in place.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Tetb1xEfzTA/WNsUqX3UhgI/AAAAAAAADkI/vhXmuEkM8ZsiUrUo7ML4iuZBmB-Y1MMqgCLcB/s1600/Mar17_pp_alt2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Tetb1xEfzTA/WNsUqX3UhgI/AAAAAAAADkI/vhXmuEkM8ZsiUrUo7ML4iuZBmB-Y1MMqgCLcB/s320/Mar17_pp_alt2.JPG" title="Mar17_pp_alt2.JPG" width="272" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
This card took me a little while to decide what I could do with some of the colored pieces. The pieces were ovals meant to be the inside of the bunny ears. I took one of the pieces and cut it in half. I kept playing with it and trying different ways of putting them together.<br />
<br />
I came up with kites! The kit came with the 3 different patterned ovals and 3 different colored twine. I added them to a piece of blue paper for the sky. The "Happy Spring" sentiment went perfectly!<br />
<br />
It so fun when a card comes together!<br />

<br />
Well, my break from stamping is over. I took a break over the holidays and did a few crochet projects.<br />
Sometimes, to encourage your creativity, you need to do some other type of craft.<br />
<br />
Here are a few things I was working on during that time:<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q0sCLdCpaow/WM9CTV6TddI/AAAAAAAADjQ/OAmC-sL5Tj4igNUQfRgA9y92Hu5_74zEgCLcB/s1600/20170106_231705.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q0sCLdCpaow/WM9CTV6TddI/AAAAAAAADjQ/OAmC-sL5Tj4igNUQfRgA9y92Hu5_74zEgCLcB/s400/20170106_231705.jpg" width="222" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Princess Braids with Crown</td><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
This was a Princess hat with braids and a crown that I made for my granddaughter for her 4th birthday. I ended up remaking the crown because the first one didn't fit. She looked adorable in it!<br />
<br />
I got the pattern (free) from a knit/crochet site called <a href="https://www.ravelry.com/account/login" target="_blank">Ravelry</a>. It's a great site for inspiration and all types of knit and crochet patterns.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
My other project is one that I've worked on for years!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-S_xT0ObSJHc/WM9Dk6rHy0I/AAAAAAAADjc/lvCHbjqge2wUwjqBR6S_36STy8xx5QPRQCLcB/s1600/Crochet_Blanket.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-S_xT0ObSJHc/WM9Dk6rHy0I/AAAAAAAADjc/lvCHbjqge2wUwjqBR6S_36STy8xx5QPRQCLcB/s320/Crochet_Blanket.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is a queen size blanket that I've worked on only in the winters here in Minnesota. It took about 5 years, with one year off. The advantage to that is that you can cover up with the blanket as you work on it! hee hee<br />
<br />
It's basically my own design. It's very simple. It's a straight double-crochet, changing colors occasionally for the stripe. <br />
<br />
<br />
Now that the holidays and a winter get-a-way is over, I can get back into the swing of things and post my project a little more often.<br />
<br />
I'll be back soon! Until then, stay creative!<br />
<br />

<br />
Today's card is a one layer card created for the <a href="http://onelayersimplicitychallenge.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">One-Layer Simplicity Challenge</a>.<br />
<br />
I've always wanted to participate in their challenges, but lack the time to do so. This week is a vacation week for me, so I have some extra time to create.<br />
<br />
This challenge was to use the colors red, yellow and orange. I decided to use my new Paisley & Posies stamp set from Stampin' Up!.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Xc314QLeorU/V_0g1ZMCXZI/AAAAAAAADdA/zLm3SswsDkcjyVXdZ5PRHIwuA_POHcc0QCLcB/s1600/Thankful_Paisley.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Xc314QLeorU/V_0g1ZMCXZI/AAAAAAAADdA/zLm3SswsDkcjyVXdZ5PRHIwuA_POHcc0QCLcB/s400/Thankful_Paisley.JPG" title="Thankful Paisley" width="328" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This card started off with a half sheet of heavy weight white cardstock.<br />
<br />
I masked the center square with a trimmed down post-it note and started stamping.<br />
<br />
The larger circles are in Cherry Cobbler, the orange swirls are Tangelo Twist, and the yellow shapes are Crushed Curry. The leaves are Old Olive.<br />
<br />
I took anOld Olive marker and carefully drew around my post-it to create the frame.<br />
<br />
The sentiment and flower are from the same stamp set and are stamped in Cherry Cobbler and old olive.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Thanks for coming by to look at my card. What challenges are you taking on today? Fun, creative ones I hope. Have a great week.<br />

<br />
I had recently reorganized my cards that I had, and put them in a box by type. This was better than having them in piles on my dresser! I saw that I had more than a half a box of birthday cards, and 2 sympathy cards. So, I got busy making cards. <br />
<br />
I needed some inspiration, so I looked through my old sets of paper pumpkin.<br />
This card collection uses the August of 2015 paper pumpkin.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-akCJcDcbwEw/V-SEfIXjZrI/AAAAAAAADak/pDXQCpuuzwoSHkVIzqXsLRYUuwm5-h2sgCLcB/s1600/Gold_Sympathy_group.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="313" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-akCJcDcbwEw/V-SEfIXjZrI/AAAAAAAADak/pDXQCpuuzwoSHkVIzqXsLRYUuwm5-h2sgCLcB/s320/Gold_Sympathy_group.JPG" title="Gold Sympathy Collection" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Most of these cards are CASED (Copy And Share Everything).<br />
That means I copied someone's card that I saw either on Pinterest or on a paper pumpkin group that I belong to.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here are a few close ups. I really enjoy taking a paper pumpkin kit and make as many cards as I can with the contents of that kit. In these cards, I added gold ribbon, Black and White cardstock and some pearls.<br />
I still have enough supplies from the kit to be able to make at least 6 to 8 more cards, by just adding the few items I mentioned above. <br />
<br />

I hope you enjoyed this little collection of sympathy cards. It's always good to have many different types of cards on hand.<br />

This means I was suppose to make a card that is colorful!! Easier said than done!<br />
<br />
I struggled for awhile to come up with an idea. When you need inspiration, where do you go? What do you do? Well, my favorite is Pinterest!<br />
<br />
If there is a particular stamp set I want to use, I'll google the stamp set. I'll use a search phrase like "Work of Art stampin up images" This will come up with all kinds of pictures to get some inspiration.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BguhMxFFIgc/V7UkTNNPVwI/AAAAAAAADaA/CiH8b7VZWKk4WR74zdvaVjaORNLfyeQbwCLcB/s1600/BirthdayCone.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BguhMxFFIgc/V7UkTNNPVwI/AAAAAAAADaA/CiH8b7VZWKk4WR74zdvaVjaORNLfyeQbwCLcB/s400/BirthdayCone.JPG" title="Birthday Cone" width="332" /></a><br />
This card's inspiration came from this <a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/417920040398352095/" target="_blank">Pinterest post</a> that I had pinned a long time ago. This card is similar, yet different.<br />
<br />
So, how did I do this? I'm glad you asked.<br />
<br />
The base of the card is Crumb Cake cardstock.<br />
The patterned paper is from a 6 x 6 stamp stack named Playful Palette.<br />
<br />
The
colorful background on the white uses the smaller splotch from the Work
of Art stamp set. The cone, ice cream and sentiment are from the
Sprinkles of Life stamp set.<br />
<br />
Ink colors and other pieces of cardstock are:<br />
Crumb Cake, Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party and Flirty Flamingo.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
I cut out the ice cream with the tree builder punch and I decorated the top scoop with some tiny pearls.<br />
<br />
I didn't put anything in the inside, but it would make a great birthday card, or friendship card. The "Sprinkles" stamp set includes sentiments that would work for either one.<br />
<br />
Thanks for coming by and checking out my colorful card. Now cruise on over to the <a href="http://vcrocks.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">VC Rocks blog</a> hop and check out all the other colorful cards made by the other talented stampers.<br />

<br />
I wanted to share with you some cards I made lately.<br />
Like in the title, 2 are for a swap, 3 are sympathy cards, and one get well card.<br />
<br />
The first two cards were for swaps. The swaps have a theme and then you make 6 to 10 cards. You then send the cards to the hostess, and she sends you back one card from each of the other participants.<br />
<br />
For the left card, you were to make a card using the Big Shot. I used it by cutting out the butterflies.<br />
The card on the right, you were to use the new colors. (there are 5 new colors each year)<br />
<br />

The next cards are sympathy cards. Unfortunately, we all need them at some time. I have a new stamp set called Rose Wonder. It has such a beautiful rose and the sentiments are so nice. It includes birthday, thanks, and sympathy sentiments.<br />

<br />
Today for the VC Rocks blog hop we're cruising with Fun Folds.<br />
My fun fold card today is a simple fun fold called a gate card. <br />
Here is my Birthday card. It looks simple, but it took a little work.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-uvvelbYZGgY/V5wNPBtV6QI/AAAAAAAADYk/MORorld3smIPSO09LTLm7QfNu0spBMe4QCLcB/s1600/GateBirthday.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-uvvelbYZGgY/V5wNPBtV6QI/AAAAAAAADYk/MORorld3smIPSO09LTLm7QfNu0spBMe4QCLcB/s320/GateBirthday.JPG" title="Birthday Gate Card" width="247" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
First the recipe:<br />
<br />
Stamp set: Birthday Blossoms<br />
Inks: Sweet Sugarplum and Emerald Envy<br />
Cardstock: Sweet Sugarplum, Emerald Envy, and Very Vanilla<br />
Designer Series Paper: Playful Palette<br />
Bling: Jewel Basic Rhinestones (in the center of the flowers)<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
As you open the card, you see the gate part of it is where the right side of the center fits into the left square frame and tucks under the flowers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LtF9pjyZZrc/V5wNO7QuRlI/AAAAAAAADYg/2lff0IK7m44yWNmicZzof70qhjcAm0_IwCLcB/s1600/GateBirthday_open.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LtF9pjyZZrc/V5wNO7QuRlI/AAAAAAAADYg/2lff0IK7m44yWNmicZzof70qhjcAm0_IwCLcB/s320/GateBirthday_open.JPG" title="Birthday Gate open2" width="264" /></a></div>

<br />
This is the season of Flowers! I love Spring & Summer because of all the beautiful flowers that are around and smell so wonderful.<br />
<br />
Our blog hop for this month is called "Crusing with Florals". I used the new colors and some paper from the new Stampin' Up! catelog. I also used the new to me stamp set called "Grateful Bunch".<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ihRcMNtS-ls/V3BMN5l90tI/AAAAAAAADXw/wiNyNTY30D4EaAJgp9NL0DRDHMVBfmDyQCLcB/s1600/Floral_Love.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ihRcMNtS-ls/V3BMN5l90tI/AAAAAAAADXw/wiNyNTY30D4EaAJgp9NL0DRDHMVBfmDyQCLcB/s320/Floral_Love.JPG" title="Floral_Love" width="270" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This card is made with a white cardstock base.<br />
<br />
The paper on the left side is from the Designer Series Paper called "Blooms & Bliss".<br />
<br />
The inks I used are Sweet Sugarplum, Old Olive and <span id="ctl00_MainContentContainer_lblItemTitle">Tuxedo Black Memento ink.</span><br />
<br />
<span id="ctl00_MainContentContainer_lblItemTitle">The flowers are mounted with a dimensional and a jewel basic rhinestone center. </span> <br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
I'm not sure if you can tell, but I put a little "Wink of Stella" on the flowers.<br />

<br />
It's time again for the VC Rocks Blog Hop. This month's theme is "Cruisin' for Special Occasions".<br />
Now what could be more special than celebrating my little granddaughter's First Birthday!<br />
And just as special, is big sister's birthday #5, both happening in June!<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l--pNCFYKRU/V0ij9HfmjcI/AAAAAAAADXM/fi6ll4bLhdUlsq0X7-aD103QrVSw02gaQCLcB/s1600/1_Birthday.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com" border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l--pNCFYKRU/V0ij9HfmjcI/AAAAAAAADXM/fi6ll4bLhdUlsq0X7-aD103QrVSw02gaQCLcB/s320/1_Birthday.JPG" title="1_Birthday" width="256" /></a><br />
<br />
Both cards use the 'Cherry on Top' Designer Paper Series 6 x 6 paper stack, and the 'Number of Years' stamp set with matching framelits. (I am in love with this set!)<br />
<br />
This card uses 2 circles that I turned into balloons. The balloons are Crushed Curry embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. The Pool Party balloon is lightly sponged with the same color to give it a little dimension. <br />
<br />
I added Bermuda Bay baker's twine for the strings on the balloons, and stamped the words and #1 in Watermelon Wonder.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1wnAe0-Y1-w/V0ikGi-FcEI/AAAAAAAADXQ/HMzanFjQHz0Py5C2UTgV_Mmlz6jHmEq8ACLcB/s1600/5_Birthday_2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com" border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1wnAe0-Y1-w/V0ikGi-FcEI/AAAAAAAADXQ/HMzanFjQHz0Py5C2UTgV_Mmlz6jHmEq8ACLcB/s320/5_Birthday_2.JPG" title="5_Birthday_2" width="270" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
This card uses a retired Sale-a-bration stamp set named "Big Day". I love the cake in this set. I used Tip Top Taupe to stamp the cake and Watermelon Wonder, stamped off, to stamp the sentiment.<br />
<br />
The card seemed like it needed just a little something more, so I randomly added little drops of Silver Dazzling Diamonds in the white section.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by to check out the Special Occasion cards. <br />
<br />
Now, hop on over to <a href="http://www.vcrocks.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">VC Rocks</a> and see the other special occasion cards submitted by other in the group.<br />

<br />
Today's post features the April Paper Pumpkin. This month came with a free stamp set to celebrate Paper Pumpkin's 3rd birthday and the mailing of their 1 millionth kit!<br />
<br />
Here is the little wreath that you can make according to package directions.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mMRdnWIBQPo/VzU0CBeaCpI/AAAAAAAADWQ/h7MydZnblhgeKtSBIw4lTeIV46t1cE8FwCLcB/s1600/Apr16kit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="286" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mMRdnWIBQPo/VzU0CBeaCpI/AAAAAAAADWQ/h7MydZnblhgeKtSBIw4lTeIV46t1cE8FwCLcB/s320/Apr16kit.jpg" title="Apr16Kit.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I made one and hung it up at my work. Things just had to start looking a little more springy!<br />
<br />
This kit, as I mentioned, came with an extra stamp set.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WUjT2bCCbG8/VzU0kzewp0I/AAAAAAAADWY/eVnQLbAwmTwf2NB_-uKvEAlI8_61epqrQCLcB/s1600/Apr_16_PP_Sets.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WUjT2bCCbG8/VzU0kzewp0I/AAAAAAAADWY/eVnQLbAwmTwf2NB_-uKvEAlI8_61epqrQCLcB/s320/Apr_16_PP_Sets.jpg" title="April 2016 PP Stamp Sets" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
The stamp set on the left is the bonus stamp set. It's very cute, and of course, I can't just make cards according to package directions.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
On the Paper Pumpkin Facebook page, many group members created a one sheet wonder with the bonus stamp set. I took this as a challenge.<br />
<br />
Here is what I came up with:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EwS5By9ZpNQ/VzU1n1mivoI/AAAAAAAADWo/UdSBj4wgHmc5APXD4mfyGEdGybB0EuhigCLcB/s1600/one_sheet_wonder.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="226" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EwS5By9ZpNQ/VzU1n1mivoI/AAAAAAAADWo/UdSBj4wgHmc5APXD4mfyGEdGybB0EuhigCLcB/s320/one_sheet_wonder.jpg" title="One Sheet Wonder" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
How do you make a OSW (one sheet wonder)?<br />
<br />
First you start with the flower stamp, stamping randomly. Then add the green leafy stamp. The stamp set has a little square lined stamp that I used to do the yellow center of the flowers, and then I added a little blue for an accent.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h2yhapfcVuM/VzU2kiL-QDI/AAAAAAAADWw/gGU66ZeTE2kxQOfhQcbNw_8LWs6imDcpgCLcB/s1600/one%2Bsheet%2Bwonder.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h2yhapfcVuM/VzU2kiL-QDI/AAAAAAAADWw/gGU66ZeTE2kxQOfhQcbNw_8LWs6imDcpgCLcB/s320/one%2Bsheet%2Bwonder.jpg" title="OSW Pattern" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is the pattern to cut up the sheet that you created. You don't have to cut it in this pattern, but it will give you some place to start.<br />
<br />
You can just cut it into rectangles like the top of the pattern. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
Here are the cards I made. I used mostly extra pieces from the kit.<br />
<br />
I didn't add much besides white card stock, and some Mossy Meadow, Daffodil, and Pool Party card stock as back grounds to mount the cut pieces on.<br />
<br />
I also added a little ribbon on a couple of the cards. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The thing about a one sheet wonder is that they can make 9 to 12 cards, depending on how you cut them. If you make just straight cuts, you can make the cards all the same if you want. Doing it the way I did gives me a variety of cards.<br />
<br />
Don't be afraid to experiment. You can use any type of stamp set that you like. (It doesn't have to be flowers!)<br />
<br />
Happy Stamping!<br />

<br />
I finally got back to stamping and I'm featuring the March Paper Pumpkin with a few alternates.<br />
<br />
First, I want to show you a male birthday card I created. This card followed a sketch from one of my favorite sites, "Stampin' Gals Gone Wild". She has some great sketches.<br />
<br />
<table style="width: 100%;">
<tbody>
<tr>
<td><table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The Sketch</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
</td>
</tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
Here is my card. The car is from a set named "Guy Greetings".<br />
<br />
The designer series paper (DSP) is a 6 x 6 stack named "Go Wild".<br />
<br />
The little dots or gems next to the car are small rhinestones colored with a black sharpie.<br />
<br />
This sketch is such a nice, simple, and versatile design.<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
Now for the March Paper Pumpkin I told you about last month. This month was the 3rd Birthday for Paper Pumpkin, and they shipped their 1 MILLIONTH Kit!!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3WwJHFmMSAU/VxBKs10Wp2I/AAAAAAAADVc/Wtf2TS6NlSYtu-r6aakNws18vlvjXl9gACLcB/s1600/Mar16_pp.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com" border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3WwJHFmMSAU/VxBKs10Wp2I/AAAAAAAADVc/Wtf2TS6NlSYtu-r6aakNws18vlvjXl9gACLcB/s320/Mar16_pp.JPG" title="March 16 Paper Pumpkin" width="280" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is the card made according to package directions.<br />
<br />
This kit made 4 cards, 4 envelopes, 4 gift card holders, and 4 little cards for the holders.<br />
<br />
They are just right for birthdays, graduations, or just a thinking of you card.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is my first alternate card with this kit. You might have noticed that I used the same sketch above.<br />
<br />
The patterned paper is from one of the envelopes.<br />
<br />
When you get your kits, don't be afraid of cutting up the paper or envelopes. They usually are decorative and can be incorporated into cards.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is one more alternative. Can you see the difference between them?<br />
<br />
<table style="width: 100%;">

</td>
</tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
The left one does not have the 3 little green beads on the center square. I couldn't decide which one I liked better or looked better. What do you think? I'd love to hear your comments.<br />
<br />
Next month's paper pumpkin we get a free stamp set in the kit as a birthday present to us. I'm excited to see it.<br />

<br />
March is Paper Pumpkin's 3rd Birthday! <br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
Now for the February paper pumpkin. We had a craft work day at my church, and I had time to play with the February kit. I just love it. It is so versatile!<br />
<br />
The first picture is of the cards made according to package directions. Very cute cards in my opinion.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iU_hgrl863A/VuYg99-1UiI/AAAAAAAADUA/iAI7_l7dEOcnNf7NVCQAp8RlU5CtZR3vA/s1600/Feb_16_pp_1-tile.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iU_hgrl863A/VuYg99-1UiI/AAAAAAAADUA/iAI7_l7dEOcnNf7NVCQAp8RlU5CtZR3vA/s640/Feb_16_pp_1-tile.jpg" width="640" /></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
Here are a couple of the alternatives I came up with.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CzBskBIX500/VuYiJPlUhRI/AAAAAAAADUM/KMV3P-VNRFIL2Cp_AyEMfTNBEBm2OHn6w/s1600/Feb_16_pp_Alt1-tile.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="172" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CzBskBIX500/VuYiJPlUhRI/AAAAAAAADUM/KMV3P-VNRFIL2Cp_AyEMfTNBEBm2OHn6w/s400/Feb_16_pp_Alt1-tile.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The left card uses the negative space from the middle swirly gold flower above.<br />
I added Pool Party and Calypso Coral flowers.<br />
<br />
The right one, is using the envelope, cut apart and added to a white card base. I added just a few light flowers.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vYg8lztjjjg/VuYiJsqG0FI/AAAAAAAADUQ/FUmfotuS1JATNOxhpwWZAxt05QjFb7biQ/s1600/Feb_16_pp_Alt2-tile.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="230" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vYg8lztjjjg/VuYiJsqG0FI/AAAAAAAADUQ/FUmfotuS1JATNOxhpwWZAxt05QjFb7biQ/s400/Feb_16_pp_Alt2-tile.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The right one is using the negative space from the left card above with some added flowers and sequins.<br />
<br />
<br />
The left one, I added some Blackberry Bliss ribbon. The left side of the card is a portion of the card from the top right.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
There are so many ways to put these cards together, you just have to let your imagination run wild.<br />
If you make this kit as directed, you will have 9 cards with envelopes. There is always more than enough supplies in one kit to make more cards than that.<br />
<br />
I hope you are enjoying getting the surprise every month. I sure do! I can't wait to see what they send us for the March Birthday kit.<br />

<br />
It's been a while since I posted anything. So, I thought I'd show you some projects that I've worked on.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RiCKIz3KwJI/Vs5tqU2j1LI/AAAAAAAADS0/PV-oA6g7hIQ/s1600/3rd_Birthday.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RiCKIz3KwJI/Vs5tqU2j1LI/AAAAAAAADS0/PV-oA6g7hIQ/s320/3rd_Birthday.JPG" title="3rd_Birthday" width="256" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
First I needed a birthday card for my sweet granddaughter who turned 3. This card is a case of <a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/417920040401549746/" target="_blank">one made</a> by Patsy. I get great inspiration from her.<br />
<br />
Stampin' Up! has a new stamp set with matching framelits that have all the numbers, and many different words. I know this will become one of my favorites. See it<a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=140811" target="_blank"> here.</a><br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I needed a sympathy card for a friend. This card uses the flowers from the set named "Wild about Flowers". It's in the big catalog, <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=138728" target="_blank">here</a>.<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
Death and Life, the inevitable parts of our world that we all participate in. In January, we had both. I made this for a friend that had a new little girl. The stamp set is new to me. It's called, "Barnyard Babies". This is also in the big catalog, <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=139328" target="_blank">here.</a> <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
This Guy Birthday card isn't for anyone in particular, but I made it to participate in a sketch challenge.<br />
The stamp set is called Guy Greetings, and works perfect for all the guys in your life. It has birthday, congratulations, and Father's Day sentiments. I used the brick embossing folder on the navy paper behind my 'guy'.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Inspiration comes from many places. My card inspirations came from necessity, casing a friend's card, and using a sketch.<br />
<br />
Coming up, the January Paper Pumpkin. I am behind on making my paper pumpkins. I might need to include the February one. That should be here soon.<br />
<br />
Stay inspired, and keep stamping!<br />

The title may be deceiving, but this blog post is featuring December 2015 Paper Pumpkin.<br />
I've just had time to work on it.<br />
<br />
It was designed to be a calendar, but I feel it lends itself so easily to making cards.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KW5KNK-X51c/Vo1Tn2TA9nI/AAAAAAAADQw/fQo7Xt7XR7s/s1600/Dec_15_PP.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KW5KNK-X51c/Vo1Tn2TA9nI/AAAAAAAADQw/fQo7Xt7XR7s/s320/Dec_15_PP.JPG" title="December 2015 Paper Pumpkin" width="228" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
My first card is made according to package directions. I just did the February calendar because I don't have any birthday's in February. The white behind it is some white cardstock just to hold it a little more upright.<br />
<br />
The little gold holder came with this paper pumpkin, and I love it for photographing cards.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The following cards are made with the kit supplies. All I added was white cardstock to mount the designer paper.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7sGhNcwigEw/Vo1W1BhF1_I/AAAAAAAADRU/PGC8mW7Ovdo/s1600/Dec_15_PP_Alt3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7sGhNcwigEw/Vo1W1BhF1_I/AAAAAAAADRU/PGC8mW7Ovdo/s320/Dec_15_PP_Alt3.JPG" width="256" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
This background I thought would make such a nice "Thinking of you card". The flowers and colors gives me peaceful, gentle feelings.<br />

These two cards are for up coming birthdays. My family members will know who they are for. <br />

Sorry to be gone so long but Christmas preparations bogged me down, plus I needed a card making break.<br />
<br />
I'm back now with the November 2015 Paper Pumpkin. It was such a fun kit.<br />
<br />
I was able to make 30 cards from this kit. The items I added are:<br />
Whisper White card stock, extra Linen thread, Old Olive ink, and the pine bough stamp. <br />
<br />
The first two cards are the ones made closest to package directions. Both cards have not as many pearls as suggested. The Joy card has one less holly sprig.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AEN1__u_uTg/VnjNHdfi5BI/AAAAAAAADQM/Fho67Ptz4Ts/s1600/Nov_15_PP_Alt5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AEN1__u_uTg/VnjNHdfi5BI/AAAAAAAADQM/Fho67Ptz4Ts/s320/Nov_15_PP_Alt5.JPG" title="November 2015 Paper Pumpkin Alt 5" width="252" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--F4wn9yCkzg/VnjNGcrT05I/AAAAAAAADP0/obp-tjN-TZA/s1600/Nov_15_PP_Alt3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--F4wn9yCkzg/VnjNGcrT05I/AAAAAAAADP0/obp-tjN-TZA/s320/Nov_15_PP_Alt3.JPG" title="November 2015 Paper Pumpkin Alt 3" width="257" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The next card is similar to the layout of the card above, but I didn't have anymore of the mistletoe. <br />
So I used a pine bough from an old Stampin' Up! set called Autumn Days. I stamped it in chocolate chip and outlined the pine with an old olive marker. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZQEYrFLVCNk/VnjNF34vYsI/AAAAAAAADPw/CqM2puJnwPA/s1600/Nov_15_PP_ALT1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-w16Mc3ntO5U/VnjNHah_kuI/AAAAAAAADQI/EPTkaZCKflo/s1600/Nov_15_PP_Alt4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-w16Mc3ntO5U/VnjNHah_kuI/AAAAAAAADQI/EPTkaZCKflo/s320/Nov_15_PP_Alt4.JPG" title="November 2015 Paper Pumpkin Alt 4" width="278" /></a></div>

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The next 2 cards are loosely based on cards I saw on Pinterest. I made the holly background paper with the enclosed stamp, I used extra old olive ink (which came in a previous paper pumpkin), and I used some of the extra red pearls. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
With this card, and with the above one, I cut up the envelopes and used the cherry cobbler paper as backgrounds and the red striped paper comes from the inside of the envelopes. (I just used white envelopes for mailing.)<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
I hope you enjoyed seeing my Christmas cards. One of them might be coming to a mailbox close to you soon.<br />
But which one ???<br />

How appropriate that Stampin' Up! came out with the stamp set named 'Acorny Thank You' and matching punch. I'm having so much fun playing with it.<br />
<br />

<br />
This card uses some nice fall colors, which we'll be seeing around here in no time.<br />
<br />
Ink colors are:<br />
Mossy Meadow<br />
Tangerine Tango<br />
Early Espresso<br />
<br />
The card stock I used was Very Vanilla, and Soft Suede.<br />
<br />
Ribbon: Mossy Meadow striped<br />

<br />
Today I'm participating in another Blog Hop from VCRocks. Today's theme for the Blog hop is "Celebrate Friendship".<br />
<br />
What could be more special than telling your friends how much you love and appreciate them by giving them a beautiful hand made card?<br />
<br />
My card design comes from a sketch from the "Stampin' gals gone wild"<a href="http://simplysimplestamping.com/stampin-gals-gone-wild-weekend-challenge-29/" target="_blank"> sketch challenge</a> for the week of August 14th, but I was kind of late making this card, so I didn't post it there.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OJstHqBIzno/VdjHXcoXlKI/AAAAAAAADN8/LkuElr-6bdc/s1600/Friend_Front.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OJstHqBIzno/VdjHXcoXlKI/AAAAAAAADN8/LkuElr-6bdc/s320/Friend_Front.JPG" title="Friend_Front" width="270" /></a></div>
The stamp sets I used are Butterfly Basics, and Blessings from Heaven.<br />
<br />
The cardstock I used is: Blushing Bride for the base, Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, and Night of Navy.<br />
<br />
The Designer series paper is called English Garden.<br />
<br />
I embossed the large white paper with an embossing folder called "Elegant Dots" from Stampin' Up!.<br />
<br />
The butterfly is in Night of Navy ink, and I cut it out using a framelit that matches the Butterfly Basics stamp set.<br />
<br />
The only embellishment that I used was the small row of pearls on the butterfly body.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uDg7N5WVkLs/VdjHXg_0G_I/AAAAAAAADOA/lhnDeXWFifo/s1600/Friend_Back.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uDg7N5WVkLs/VdjHXg_0G_I/AAAAAAAADOA/lhnDeXWFifo/s320/Friend_Back.JPG" title="Friend_Inside" width="240" /></a></div>

<br />
Well, I'm way behind on my posts, so this blog is about catching up. Over the last couple months, I've been involved in some swaps. Now that they are finished, I wanted to share the cards that I made.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AINOdjbOXc4/Vc1Pdtxvt9I/AAAAAAAADMA/9Ry7v5YJtOc/s1600/GoodieBox2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AINOdjbOXc4/Vc1Pdtxvt9I/AAAAAAAADMA/9Ry7v5YJtOc/s320/GoodieBox2.JPG" title="Goodie_Box" width="233" /></a></div>
<br />
This swap was called the ABC Swap. Anything but a Card.<br />
<br />
This is a self-closing Goodie Box.<br />
<br />
After you had the basic design and measurements done, it was actually quite easy. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-noUjHKIII1o/Vc1Pcrv49oI/AAAAAAAADL8/R4it2vBjAfE/s1600/Fantastic_Floral_Swap.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-noUjHKIII1o/Vc1Pcrv49oI/AAAAAAAADL8/R4it2vBjAfE/s320/Fantastic_Floral_Swap.JPG" title="Fantastic_Florals_Swap" width="273" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This card was for the Fantastic Florals swap.<br />
I used some of the new in-colors from Stampin' Up!<br />
<br />
The green paper and ribbon is called <span class="bodytext" id="ctl00_MainContentContainer_lblItemDescription"> Mint Macaron and the red is Watermelon Wonder. </span><br />
<span class="bodytext" id="ctl00_MainContentContainer_lblItemDescription"><br /></span>
<span class="bodytext" id="ctl00_MainContentContainer_lblItemDescription">The flower stamp is from Butterfly Basics. </span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UlsGnMoJKZo/Vc1MlpxXZ4I/AAAAAAAADLw/EFXC90dIP4w/s1600/manly_man.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="248" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UlsGnMoJKZo/Vc1MlpxXZ4I/AAAAAAAADLw/EFXC90dIP4w/s320/manly_man.JPG" title="Manly_Man_Swap" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<span class="bodytext" id="ctl00_MainContentContainer_lblItemDescription">This swap was called the Manly Man Swap. We all always need 'guy' cards, and this was my submission. </span><br />
<span class="bodytext" id="ctl00_MainContentContainer_lblItemDescription"><br /></span>
<span class="bodytext" id="ctl00_MainContentContainer_lblItemDescription">The stamp set is called 'Traveler', and the map background paper is designer paper from SU. I CASE'd (copy and share everything) this card from a card in the Stampin' Up! catalog. </span><br />
<span class="bodytext" id="ctl00_MainContentContainer_lblItemDescription"></span><br />
<span class="bodytext" id="ctl00_MainContentContainer_lblItemDescription"></span><br />
<span class="bodytext" id="ctl00_MainContentContainer_lblItemDescription"></span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
I've been busy with so many projects and just general things to do that I'm behind on my blog.<br />
<br />
This week I join the blog hop from group I belong to named VC Rocks. Here's the card I'm submitting for the challenge, "Celebrate Birthdays".<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-56I0Kx23Wc4/VbBVFFpx1nI/AAAAAAAADK4/gSoistiOOTo/s1600/Birthday_Flower.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-56I0Kx23Wc4/VbBVFFpx1nI/AAAAAAAADK4/gSoistiOOTo/s320/Birthday_Flower.JPG" title="Birthday Flower" width="268" /></a></div>
<br />
I really wanted to make a birthday card with this flower because the stamp and punch are both new to me. <br />
<br />
The base of the card is the new Tip Top Taupe in color and so is the square section in the center. The inside also has the same sentiment and a small fern.<br />
<br />
Here are the items I used to make this card:<br />
<br />
<br />
Stamps: Butterfly Basics, Beautiful Bunch, and Petite Petals<br />
Paper: Whisper White and Tip Top Taupe <br />
Inks: Tip Top Taupe, Blackberry Bliss, and Old Olive<br />
Punches: Petite Petals and Fun Flower<br />
Embellishments: Large Basic Pearl <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
My inspiration came from the <a href="http://technostamper.blogspot.com/2014/09/monday-lunchtime-sketch-challenge-331_15.html" target="_blank">Techno Stamper, number 332.</a><br />
Check back soon. I'll have pictures from June and July's Paper Pumpkin. <br />
<br />
Hop on over to <a href="http://www.vcrocks.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">VC Rocks</a> and see all the great cards submitted by other in the group.<br />

<br />
I'm sorry it's been such a long time since my last post. Wow! I looked back and it's been almost a month! I generally post around mid month with pictures made from my Paper Pumpkin, but mine came late, and then I was in the midst of making cards for swaps.<br />
<br />
This is one of the swaps I'm involved in. Actually, it's a virtual swap because it's all on-line! It's called a Blog Hop. <br />
<br />
The blog challenge was titled "CELEBRATE THE NEW".<br />
The challenge was to use new Stampin' Up! products for our cards.<br />
I was able to use almost all new products for my card, but I did have to fall back on the Painted Blooms Cotton Twine (whisper white) from the last Occasions catalog.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dB_B37MYNpY/VY4RsKFRxhI/AAAAAAAADI4/7T4IQcXsZGM/s1600/Sprinkles%2Bof%2BLife.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.stampinup.net" border="0" height="305" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dB_B37MYNpY/VY4RsKFRxhI/AAAAAAAADI4/7T4IQcXsZGM/s400/Sprinkles%2Bof%2BLife.JPG" title="Sprinkles of Life" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Here is the 'recipe' to make this card:<br />
<br />
Stamp Set:<br />
Sprinkles of Life<br />
<br />
Ink:<br />
Tip Top Taupe<br />
Watermelon Wonder<br />
<br />
Designer Paper:<br />
Cherry on Top 6 x 6 pack<br />
<br />
Cardstock:<br />
Crushed Curry<br />
Early Espresso<br />
<br />
<br />
Accessories: Whisper White cotton twine and Dazzling Details<br />
<br />
I used the Watermelon Wonder and a blender pen to color the 2 side cupcakes, but the photo doesn't do the color justice. The color is brighter and pinker then as it appears. It's also hard to see, but I used the dazzling details on the flames of the candles. (I used a color pencil to color the flames.)<br />
<br />
In a week or so, I'll post pictures of other cards that I made for other swaps, but first there is another new thing in my life. I have to (get to!) visit my newest granddaughter.<br />
<br />
Enjoy all the new things that are happening in your life and hop on over to the other blogs to see some more great cards! Click here: <a href="http://www.vcrocks.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">VC Rocks!</a> to connect to the blog hop. <br />

I find sketches are great place to start when you need a card.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3WUJyI6Bqes/VWkWHrDUCFI/AAAAAAAADIU/tUavt8tiE2Y/s1600/HappyBirthdayCritter.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3WUJyI6Bqes/VWkWHrDUCFI/AAAAAAAADIU/tUavt8tiE2Y/s320/HappyBirthdayCritter.JPG" title="Happy Birthday Critter" width="241" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
For this card, I needed a birthday card for my sweet granddaughter who loves pink. (She is turning 4!)<br />
<br />
I used the Cheerful Critters stamp set with Regal Rose, Rose Red, and Old Olive cardstock. For the flowers, I used the Petite Petals punch and the flower from Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack.<br />
<br />
I extended the olive below the flowers because it reminds me of the grass. I added dazzling details to the center of the flowers. I thought about adding texture to the pink background, but decided against it.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is the sketch that I based the card on.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Inspiration comes from many places. In my case, I needed a birthday card, I knew she loves pink, and Freshly Made Sketches posted this sketch. Everything I needed to make a special card for my granddaughter.<br />
<br />
Where do you find your inspiration?<br />

It's such a cute set. You can make 6 cards and 4 gift bags.<br />
Here's the card and bag I made according to the package directions.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qs70blXCuq0/VWIdYMF4nJI/AAAAAAAADGw/z5ccbVLSclY/s1600/May_15.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="270" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qs70blXCuq0/VWIdYMF4nJI/AAAAAAAADGw/z5ccbVLSclY/s320/May_15.JPG" title="May 2015 Paper Pumpkin" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here are a couple of alternative cards that I made.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i_qGSxd3GrY/VWIeG8hPvxI/AAAAAAAADHE/UtUISzlXa4A/s1600/May_15_Alt1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="249" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i_qGSxd3GrY/VWIeG8hPvxI/AAAAAAAADHE/UtUISzlXa4A/s320/May_15_Alt1.JPG" title="May Paper Pumpkin Alternative 1" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This card I made by cutting the front and back of the card apart. I then cut the striped section at 2 1/2 and the blue section at 3 inches.<br />
<br />
I attached the balloon string with glue dots.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mjYODEHdYj8/VWIfPsrMPNI/AAAAAAAADHk/aiFdGxIYP6k/s1600/May_15_Alt2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="270" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mjYODEHdYj8/VWIfPsrMPNI/AAAAAAAADHk/aiFdGxIYP6k/s320/May_15_Alt2.JPG" title="May Paper Pumpkin Alternative 2" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This card uses a 1 1/2 inch strip of the striped paper,and the belly band from the bag, along with a tag. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
And <span style="font-size: small;">now</span>: <span style="font-size: large;"><b>A Tale of Two Cards</b></span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jwWCRKlxSZE/VWIeHxmiXPI/AAAAAAAADHQ/jVIRw-7U4IE/s1600/May_15_Alt3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="264" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jwWCRKlxSZE/VWIeHxmiXPI/AAAAAAAADHQ/jVIRw-7U4IE/s320/May_15_Alt3.JPG" title="May Paper Pumpkin Alternative 3" width="320" /></a></div>
This card struggled to come into being. I wanted to have Calypso Coral balloons too, but it was nowhere to be found. I thought to myself, "I thought for sure I have that color." But I looked and looked, and no Calypso Coral.<br />
<br />
So, I used the Island Indigo from this kit and Daffodil Delight from a previous paper pumpkin kit. I decided that a blue and yellow card should look ok.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Along the way, there was a smudge on the yellow balloon (conveniently covered up with the little blue heart) and a another smudge along the top left. I added a part of another blue balloon, making it look like it was there all the time. In card making, you have to improvise!<br />
<br />
Well, the time came to photograph the card, so I had to tidy up my craft table. Low and behold, under some papers, what did I find?? Yes, it was the Calypso Coral ink !!!<br />
<br />
It was back to the craft table, and start another card. Just like the card above, but with coral balloons.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ki4K2CeQ9iI/VWIeIvtoz7I/AAAAAAAADHY/BHtr1bz3gEI/s1600/May_15_Alt4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="244" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ki4K2CeQ9iI/VWIeIvtoz7I/AAAAAAAADHY/BHtr1bz3gEI/s320/May_15_Alt4.JPG" title="May Paper Pumpkin Alternative 4" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I think it does look better with the 3rd color. <br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
Today is something new for me, but something I've wanted to do for awhile. That is, to enter challenges from other websites or blogs. I'm submitting this card to the <a href="http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2015/05/freshly-made-sketches-186-sketch-by-jen.html">Freshly Made Sketches</a> challenge #186.<br />
<br />
Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card, and this sketch worked beautifully. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hlqWjTbNkeI/VVliMZr6MOI/AAAAAAAADFw/Gvh7eGrI0bM/s1600/Tulip_Sympathy.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/" border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hlqWjTbNkeI/VVliMZr6MOI/AAAAAAAADFw/Gvh7eGrI0bM/s320/Tulip_Sympathy.JPG" title="Tulip Sympathy" width="260" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This card uses the Pistachio Pudding, and Summer Starfruit card stock, and pistachio pudding stretch ruffle ribbon.<br />
<br />
The Designer Series Paper is called Sweet Sorbet.<br />
<br />
The Tulip stamp set is called Blessed Easter. I added 3 little pearls under the sentiment. <br />

<br />
These cards are alternatives that I made with the supplies in the kit, and all I added was a piece of white cardstock. The left card is the blue card cut in half and adding the yellow bow. <br />
The right card's tan background is from the pocket and decorated with the little x's. The yellow background is the yellow card cut in half.<br />
<br />
If you cut all the colored cards in half, you could make 16 cards! All you need is some extra white cardstock for the center and to create the card. <br />
<br />
I hope that you are enjoying your paper pumpkins. If you have any questions or help, don't hesitate to contact me. <br />
<br />
P.S. I added new cards to the <a href="http://theresastampinfun.blogspot.com/p/card-gallery.html">Card Gallery</a>. Check them out!<br />
